About the Tip Calculator
Work out the tip on a restaurant bill and split the total evenly. Choose any tip from 0% to 100% or tap a common preset, and see the tip and the total for the whole table and for each person, rounded to the cent.
How to use it
- 1 Enter the Bill Amount.

Frequently asked questions
The bill is multiplied by the tip percentage and divided by 100, then rounded to the cent. An 18% tip on a $60 bill is $10.80, for a total of $70.80.
It divides the total bill, tip included, evenly by the number of people. Each share is rounded to the cent, so the shares can add up to a cent more or less than the total.
