About the Percentage Calculator

Frequently asked questions
Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 12% of 350 is 350 × 12 ÷ 100 = 42.
Subtract the From value from the To value, divide by the From value and multiply by 100. A move from 80 to 100 is +25%, while a move from 100 back to 80 is −20%, because the starting value is different.
Both are divisors, and dividing by zero has no answer. The calculator asks for a non-zero value instead of showing a misleading result.
Yes. Every field accepts negative numbers and decimals. A change from a negative starting value is measured against its size, so going from −50 to −25 shows as a 50% increase.
