Frequently asked questions
All three join words without spaces for use in code. camelCase capitalizes every word after the first (myVariableName), snake_case joins lowercase words with underscores (my_variable_name) and kebab-case joins them with hyphens (my-variable-name). StudlyCase is camelCase with the first letter capitalized too (MyVariableName). Each line is converted on its own, so a list of names becomes a list of identifiers.
It capitalizes every word except a, an, the, and, but, or, nor, for, as, at, by, in, of, on, to, via and vs, which stay lowercase unless they start or end a line or follow a colon, dash or the end of a sentence. A word with a capital after its first letter, such as NASA or iPhone, keeps the spelling you typed. Text typed all in capitals is converted as if it were lowercase.
There is no undo button. Each conversion replaces the text in the box, and UPPERCASE or lowercase cannot bring back the original capitals, so copy your original text first if you need to keep it.
Yes. UPPERCASE, lowercase and Title Case are Unicode-aware, so accented letters such as é and ñ, and Greek or Cyrillic text, change case correctly.
The box holds up to 100,000 characters. Anything longer is trimmed to the first 100,000 characters, and a notice tells you when that happens.
