About the Pomodoro Timer
Work in focused blocks with the Pomodoro Technique: a timed focus session, then a short break, with a longer break after every few sessions. The timer moves between them on its own and counts the sessions you finish.
How to use it
- 1 Set the Focus, Short break and Long break lengths in minutes, or keep 25, 5 and 15.
- 2 Set Long break every to the number of focus sessions before a long break.
- 3 Press Start, and Pause whenever you need to step away.
- 4 Pick Focus, Short break or Long break to switch modes, or press Reset to restart the current one.
Frequently asked questions
A time-management method where you work in focused intervals, traditionally 25 minutes, separated by short breaks, with a longer break after every four intervals. The timer starts with these classic settings.
A short chime plays and the timer moves straight on: a finished focus session starts a short break, or a long break after the set number of sessions, and a finished break starts the next focus session. After the long break the session count starts again from 0.
Yes. Change any length in minutes. While the timer is stopped, the clock shows the new length straight away; a running session keeps its time until you reset it or it ends.
The timer runs in this browser tab, so going to another page stops it, and it starts fresh when you come back.
